ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS
To gain admittance to Carson Long, boys must be of good character and have average or above average academic ability. No entrance tests are required, and although it is preferred that students be able to handle college preparatory courses, it is not mandatory. Transcripts and a personal interview are required, as well as two references on the boy’s behalf from his school principal and guidance counselor. Carson Long admits students of any race, color, creed or national origin.
Carson Long Military Institute operates on a semester-based admission policy. Carson Long will accept students at the start of each semester provided they meet the admissions requirements and have completed their admissions process. Applications are considered according to when they are received.
ACCREDITATION
Carson Long has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools since 1929. The school is a member of the Association of Military Colleges and Schools of the United States, The National Association of Independent Schools and the Pennsylvania Association of Independent Schools.
The school is chartered under Pennsylvania laws as a nonprofit corporation, and it is governed by a 15-member Board of Trustees. Carson Long is supported by an active alumni association.
