The Carson Long cross country squad continue to improve their times in search of more District 3 qualifiers. Meets at Big Spring and Middletown this past week proved that the Warriors are closing in on those qualifying times. At Big Spring, Stephen Washington, '17, (20m53s) and Shane Orris (22m44s) were to top performers for the boys. At Middletown, both Washington and Orris PR'd with Daniel Leisher, '17, running his PR (23m11s), The Lady Warriors were led by District 3 qualifier Lauren Wilson, who medalled at Big Spring (21m51s) and Paige Steffy running in 24m53s. Lauren continue her great form at Middletown, leading the Lady Warriors to victory over Middletown HS and Annville Cleona HS, finishing 1st (22m06s) with Paige Steffy in the top 5 (24m27s). The Warriors finish the week at Carlisle tomorrow.

Both Warrior soccer teams slumped to defeat, at home, to the Greyhounds of York Country Day. Varsity lost 8-1 with Austin Assoko, '18, scoring the only goal of the game for the Warriors. The JH Warriors fell by the score of 5-0.

The JH Warriors fell to Belleville Mennonite by a score of 10-0. The young boys will need a few games to come together, but have some exciting young players.

Sophomore, Brandon Osafo's 2 goals and an assist, paced the Warriors to victory over the visiting Belleville Mennonite Trojans, 5-1. Rouyo Zhang, '19, Max Tansky, '19 and Davon Ralliford, '17, all chipped in a goal each to complete the win.

Lauren Wilson, '18, ran a District 3 qualifying time of 22m39s at Shippensburg HS. She will represent Carson Long at the District 3 meet on Sat, Oct 29th, at Big Spring HS. Well done Lauren !!

Carson Long Cross Country fell to Shippensburg HS yesterday. The boys lost 14-50 with Stephen Washington, '17, leading the CL pack with a time of 21m36s. Lauren Wilson,'18, with a District qualifying time of 22m39s (3rd place overall), led the girls, but despite he 3rd place finish, the girls lost 19-37.

Lauren Wilson ran to a 2nd place finish at Susquenita HS yesterday afternoon, on one of the most demanding course in Central PA. Finishing with a time of 27m36s, she helped the CLMA Lady Warriors beat Greenwood HS 29-26. Other finishers included Paige Steffy (30m48s), Hannah Kowalewski (30m53s), and Shiane Boyer (31m56s). On the boys side, Stephen Washington finished 9th in 27m11s, with Daniel Leisher (28m28s), Alfonso Migliarini (30m25s) and Dillon Keefer (30m31s) rounding out the scoring.

Taking the lead in a co-operative agreement with West Perry High School, Carson Long opened the cross country season at Camp Hill, against Camp Hill HS and Bishop McDevitt HS. Shane Orris, '20, led the boys with a time of 26m35s, Lauren Wilson placing 7th overall with a time of 24m41s to lead the girls racers.

Carson Long will offer its students Cross Country as part of its Fall schedule. With West Perry HS's program being axed, due to budget constraints, Carson Long reached out to its local High School and offered a co-operative agreement to keep the program alive, under the direction of Carolyn Pio from Carson Long. West Perry athletes will compete under under the name Carson Long, and the boys from CL will join them in the quest for District gold. Carson Long and West Perry already co-op in Wresting, and all meets this first year will be held at West Perry HS.

Carson Long travelled to Harrisburg Christian and it took extra innings to separate the teams. Tied at 4-4 after the regulation 7 innings, it took 3 more innings to settle the game, with Harrisburg Christian coming out on top, 5-4. Gunnar Slagle, '16, struck out 19, and Dylan Keefer, '17, had 2 RBI's and 2 big hits to help the Warriors keep close. Carson Long ends the season, at home, hosting Steel High, game time 3:30pm.
