Planned Giving

Planned giving is more than naming a charity in your will, although wills are certainly part of the planned giving process. Planned giving can also include life insurance, charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder unitrusts, and remainder annuity trusts.

Robert Burns '42, shown here in his senior portrait in the Carsonian, left a gift of 1,000 shares of Exxon stock to Carson Long in the Spring of 2015, an $87,000 gift which is actually valuable beyond measure.

If you are thinking about remembering Carson Long in your will or with another type of planned gift, please let us know. We provide some basic information in our planned giving guide, but ask that you please work with your attorney or another professional, certified financial planner to ensure that your final wishes are met.

Questions for Carson Long Military Academy should be directed to the Office of Advancement & Alumni Relations, 717.582.2121. We also have information about Naming Rights.

Those individuals who establish planned gifts at a certain level become part of Carson Long's Legacy Society, with a variety of benefits and recognitions. Please contact the Office of Advancement & Alumni Relations, 717.582.2121, for more information about Planned Giving & Legacy Society benefits and recognitions.
