Baseball falls short in extra innings

Carson Long travelled to Harrisburg Christian and it took extra innings to separate the teams. Tied at 4-4 after the regulation 7 innings, it took 3 more innings to settle the game, with Harrisburg Christian coming out on top, 5-4. Gunnar Slagle, '16, struck out 19, and Dylan Keefer, '17, had 2 RBI's and 2 big hits to help the Warriors keep close. Carson Long ends the season, at home, hosting Steel High, game time 3:30pm.

2011 Graduate Abdullah Danish II Produces Song Written While a Cadet

It was in the second semester that Cadet Danish entered music performance class excited about the new guitar solo that he had composed. His musical goal was to compose a song that would compliment his new solo. He and his music teacher, Ms. Tracy Kline, began working on several possible chord progressions. The next step was to compose a melody and lyrics. Cadet Bobby Anderson, who was also in the music class, was asked to assist in writing the lyrics.

Drill Team Does Well in First National Competition

Carson Long Military Academy's Precision Drill Team continues to exceed all expectations. This past weekend, after a regular season that concluded with their 5th regional championship in as many years, the Warriors of Carson Long traveled to the home of JROTC – Fort Knox, KY – for their first-ever national drill meet.

Varsity basketball comes up just short against Covenant Christian

Despite having the ball with 5 seconds left in regulation, the Warriors were unable to convert, and fell by a final of 54-52 to the visiting Covenant Christian Falcons. Carson Long scoring was led by Senior Brady Kyle, who poured in 30 pts, with fellow Senior, Tyler Willis, adding 13. Carson Long finishes the season next week, with trips to Tri Valley HS (Tues), MAC Semi Finals at St Josephs Catholic (Thur) and Senior night, at home, against York Christian (Fri).

Warrior Football players receive AAFC post season honors

Carson Long football players took home post season awards from the All American Football Conference, including League Offensive MVP and League sportsmanship.Awards received were given to at the Fall Sports awards dinner held on campus.Awards went to:Honorable mention honors:William Romberger, '16, honorable mention at running back.Ryan Estep, '16, honorable mention at defensive back.Devon McGeoghean, '16, honorable mention at inside line backer.Second team honors:Tyler Willis, '16, 2nd team All conference at defensive end.First team honors:Tajamier Smith, '17, 1st team All conference at defensive back.Nasir Johnson, '18, 1st team All conference at slot receiver.Ryan Estep, '16, 1st team All conference on special teams.League honors:Nazir Johnson, '18, AAFC League offensive MVP.Carson Long Military Academy, AAFC League Team sportsmanship award.Congrats to all players and coaches.

Varsity Soccer narrowly loses in season home finale

The Warriors lost 1-0 to visiting York Christian School in the home finale for the seniors on the team. Durham Richards, Markhel Diejuste and Prasath Desantis had hoped for better send off, and Diejuste almost provided a fairytale ending, hitting the woodwork with 5 minutes left. Good Luck Seniors !!

Football felled on Senior Day

Carson Long Military Academy football team fell to Nativity BVM High School 62-6. Carson Long scored their only TD when Taj Smith, '17, connected with Nazir Johnson, '18, for a 48 yard touchdown pass. Smith and Johnson connected on four other pass plays for a total of 77 yards. The defense was led by seniors, Tyler Willis and William Romberger, who both had 7 tackles. Derek Pachter, '18, also contributed with 5 tackles. It was the final home game for seniors William Romberger, Ryan Estep, Tyler Willis and Devon McGeoghean.

Soccer opens season with home win

Trailing 3-1 at halftime, the Carson Long soccer team stormed back to claim a 4-3 victory with the game winning goal, scored by Prasath Desantis, '16, coming from the penalty spot with 47 seconds left in regulation. Goals from Desantis, Markhel Diejuste, '16, and Brandon Osafo, '19 set the stage for Desantis to seal the victory.

Warrior Football returns for preseason camp

The CLMA Football players have successfully completed just over a week of football preseason camp. The cadets have been working extremely hard, practicing twice a day. They are beginning to come together as a team, and are working hard to translate that collaboration onto the field. Preparation continues for their season opener, at Hancock HS (MD) on Sept 19th, with the home opener against Bucktail HS, Oct 3rd.
