2 first half goals by Prasath Desantis, '16, paced Carson Long to its 2nd win of the season. Assisted by Brandon Osafo, '19, and Markhel Diejuste, '16, the Warriors clawed Lourdes Regional HS back and a stellar performance by senior goalkeeper Durham Richards, 10 saves, preserved the win.

Your JH score team tied Belleville Mennonite 3-3 this afternoon, with goals from Steven Twichell, '21, Max Weappa, '20 and Xuyang Wei, '19. A gutsy performance in their first game of the season, with the tie preserved by goalkeeper Aaron Villanueva's penalty kick save.

Trailing 3-1 at halftime, the Carson Long soccer team stormed back to claim a 4-3 victory with the game winning goal, scored by Prasath Desantis, '16, coming from the penalty spot with 47 seconds left in regulation. Goals from Desantis, Markhel Diejuste, '16, and Brandon Osafo, '19 set the stage for Desantis to seal the victory.

Nazir Johnson, '18, led the way with 3 touchdowns scoring in all three phases of the game, offense, defense and special teams. He had an 80 yard kick off return for a TD, a 30 yard rushing touchdown, and a 54 yard fumble recovery for a touchdown. Taj Smith, '17, led the offense with 85 yards passing, and 1 touchdown. Ryan Estep, 16, scored his first career touchdown on an 85 yard pass from Taj Smith. Defensively the Warriors were led by Devon McGeoghean, '16, with 11 tackles and a forced fumble. Tyler Willis, '16, contributed with 5 tackles, and Kenechi Ucheagwu, '16, contributed with 4 tackles for a loss. Overall it was strong effort by everyone. The opposing coach addressed the team and expressed how hard we played and said he had never seen a team with as much sportsmanship as we displayed.

The CLMA Football players have successfully completed just over a week of football preseason camp. The cadets have been working extremely hard, practicing twice a day. They are beginning to come together as a team, and are working hard to translate that collaboration onto the field. Preparation continues for their season opener, at Hancock HS (MD) on Sept 19th, with the home opener against Bucktail HS, Oct 3rd.

Anfernee Brice, '15, finished 2nd in the 110m Hurdles, at the PIAA District 3 Track & Field Championships, held at Shippensburg University. Brice, with that 2nd place finish, qualified for the PIAA State Championships, again held at Shippensburg University, on May 22nd & 23rd.
