AJ Migliarini, '19, scored the biggest 2 points of his 21 as time expired to lead the Warrior JV team to a 51-49 win over the visiting Newport HS Buffaloes. The Warriors outscored the Buffaloes 30-17 in the 2nd half to seal the victory. Junior Austin Assoko added 16 pts, his season high. The JH team did not fare quite as well, going down 48-19 to the Yeshiva Academy. Stephen Twichell scored 15pts with DeVeyon Fitzgerald adding 4pts more.

Both Varsity and JV basketball teams welcomed the Tigers of Fannett-Metal HS to the Kate Carson gym and both teams came away with vital victories. The JV team posted a 65-49 win with 8 players getting on the scoresheet. The Varsity team kept their District playoff hopes alive with a 63-49 win. Davon Ralliford, '17, and AJ Migliarini, '19, each scored 17 pts, newcomer Kyle Wilson-Bailey, '20, and Brandon Osafo, '19, each chipped in 12pts.

The Warrior Varsity basketball team fell to a heartbreaking buzzer beater at York Christian. With 3 players in double digit scoring, Senior Davon Ralliford (18 pts), and Sophomores Alfonso Migliarini (12 pts) and Brandon Osafo (13 pts), the Warriors could not pull out the win.

All 3 Carson Long basketball teams fell this evening to their opponents. The Junior High boys lost 43-19 to Grace Baptist, with Jonathon Christ leading the way with 8 pts. Their bigger brothers, with JV and Varsity hosted ST Joseph's Catholic in a top of the league clash. Both teams lost by 3, JV losing 32-29 with Soph, Alfonso Migliarini pouring in 21 pts in the losing effort, then turning around and adding 19 pts in the Varsity game. Senior, Davon Ralliford, chipped in 18 pts in a very physical battle, which leaves the Warriors in 2nd spot in the MAC Conference, and 6th in District 3.

The Carson Long Warriors went head to head with the Dayspring Warriors this afternoon on the hardwood, with the CL Warriors running out a 39-27 winner. Carson Long made heavy weather of the hosts, with Senior Davon Ralliford posting 16pts and Alfonso Migliarini adding 9pts to the cause.

It was a busy week for the Warriors. After visiting Harrisburg Academy, the Warriors JH and Varsity teams visited the Thunder of Belleville Mennonite in a league tilt. Both teams came away with solid wins, Varsity easing past the Thunder, 37-9, behind Senior Davon Ralliford's 14pt game. JH won 23-12 with Khalil Rashada, '21, leading all scorers with 17 pts. On Friday night, the Greyhounds of York Country Day came to town to square off against the JH and JV teams. JH suffered its first loss of the season, 44-28, but the JV squad saved the day with a hard fought 36-29 victory.

Both the Varsity and Junior High Hoops teams travelled to Harrisburg Academy and came away winners. JH opened their season against a tough Spartan team and a stellar performance from Khalil Rashada paced the Warriors to victory. Their "big brothers" handled the Spartans, coming away with the 54-21 win. Senior Davon Ralliford exploded for 20 pts and the supporting cast of Sophmores Alfonso Migliarini and roommate eBrandon Osafo chipped in 9 each. Carson Long visits Belleville Mennonite on Thursday night, always a tough road game.

Both JV and Varsity Basketball teams go into the Xmas break undefeated. JV's stand at 1-0, with their Varsity brothers holding a 4-0 record. Both teams beat Midd-West HS last night, JV winning 37-30, and Varsity trumping the Mustangs 60-47. Both teams are back in action in the new year, JV traveling to Newport HS on Jan 4th, and both JV and Varsity host Minersville HS on Jan 7th.

Carson Long cruised to a 62-22 victory over the visiting Spartans of Harrisburg Academy. Brandon Osafo, '19, and Davon Ralliford, '17, combined for 44 pts, with Nazir Johnson, '17, adding 10pts in the win.
